Our Grade 12 Hospitality students recently showcased their culinary and service skills in their practicals, naming their restaurant "Sunnyside Restaurant." This event was a wonderful display of their hard work and creativity, and we couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated in vibrant orange, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The students were dressed in elegant black and white, adding a touch of sophistication to the evening. As part of the experience, teachers from the school were invited to purchase tickets and enjoy the evening as part of the booking process, adding a real-world touch to the practical.

Guests were treated to a delightful array of offerings, starting with refreshing welcome drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The starters featured a delightful caprese salad, followed by a main course of perfectly grilled chicken served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. The meal concluded with a delectable chocolate mousse that was both beautifully presented and incredibly tasty.
The food was exceptional, and the attention to detail in both preparation and presentation was evident. It was clear that the students put their heart and soul into making this event a success.
A huge congratulations to our Grade 12 Hospitality students for their outstanding performance! You truly impressed everyone with your skills and professionalism.
We also want to extend a special thank you to Miss Mabika, who worked tirelessly with the learners to ensure everything went smoothly. Her dedication and hard work were crucial to the event’s success. Additionally, a big thank you to Mrs. Makhanya for all her hard work behind the scenes, ensuring everything was perfectly organised.
Well done to everyone involved for making "Sunnyside Restaurant" an unforgettable experience!
